When one of my friends told me about firefox download day, and I visited the world record page it was just about 700,000 people who was pledged for downloading firefox on the certain day. After some days it increased up to 2 million people. I thought downloads would be less than the number of people who were pledged. But, when it started, my idea changed. At first, the download’s site got a little problem with a million people who wanted to download it and some users had some bad reactions on some sites like Digg, but I knew that mozilla would make it. Yap, he make it! Less than 4 hours it got about 1 million downloads. Now when I’m writing this it got about 7 million downloads and more than 500,000,000 downloads in total. I predict it’ll be download more than 10 millions in this day.
Mozilla says they are averaging around 14,000 downloads a minute. And they put a live counter that is so interesting and it’s counting the number of downloads and the downloads per minute. I think the firefox is burning the Internet explorer on its fire. Now it’s going to dominate the web browsing on the world!
